I’ve worn many dresses but nothing feels as glamorous as prancing around in a wedding dress. I recently joined a group of fellow bloggers for a fun night trying on wedding gowns at Alfred Angelo Bridal. It was amazing! A diverse group of fabulous women of different sizes, shapes and backgrounds all having a great time. Each looking beautiful in their own way and bringing gorgeous wedding dresses to life!
The dresses I chose to try on weren’t what most would expect a traditional bride to wear. As beautiful as they are, I wouldn’t wear a white wedding dress because it doesn’t fit my personality. I went for fun but elegant and I require some color. That’s why I loved Style 876 from the Alfred Angelo Sapphire collection. The tinted net and lace applique are perfect and the plum sash is my favorite part to add a pop of color. This is as close as I would get to traditional. Love!
I immediately fell in love with Style 249 which is Ariel from the Disney Fairy Tale Bridal collection by Alfred Angelo. This is totally me. The color! The silhouette! That gorgeous shade of ocean blue embroidered with crystal beading and rhinestones is nothing short of breathtaking. Plus the skirt part has glitter on it…consider my heart stolen! I honestly wanted to buy this dress and keep it on for the rest of my life. Who wouldn’t want to be a mermaid princess? And yes I went home and watched The Little Mermaid just because. (This dress also comes in white)
I did try on a white dress because I knew it would make my mother happy. When shown the photo of me in Style 245 I can tell you Mama Cupcake was extremely happy. She loved it! The main thing I learned this evening is that these gorgeous gowns do not make you beautiful but they do look extremely beautiful on you. You bring the dress to life, you give the dress personality, you give the dress a story. I’m so glad I was a part of the celebration of the Alfred Angelo Real Women/Real Brides at the Altamonte Springs Signature Store Lee (MySentimentExactLee) put together such an amazing blogger event and Jocelyn is an amazing bridal consultant who helped all of select and get into the gowns without missing a beat!
