Two intensely awesome days of learning, shopping and makeup artistry at its finest are approaching. It’s called The Makeup Show NYC and it’s happening May 4th and 5th! There are hands on workshops with amazing makeup artists, keynote seminars plus brands selling makeup favorites and debuting new products. Since I’ll be traveling from Orlando, I wanted to prepare as much as possible ahead of time. Aside from booking travel and whipping up a packing list, I already detailed my plan of action at the show!
I have a list of brands I must visit including their booth numbers, questions I want to ask them and products I want to pick up. Such as Frends Beauty, BlackUp, Vincent Longo, Inglot, Embryolisse, Ardency Inn and more. Of course my first stop will be OFRA. I also have a schedule of the seminars I plan to see like Kit Focus wth James Vincent, Orlando Santiago and Danessa Myricks for The Makeup Show, Playing With Smoke with Johnny Lavoy for Ofra Cosmetics and Making Up With Merrell Hollis. I even downloaded The Makeup Show floor plan to my phone for easy show floor navigation. I’m so ready! Are you?
Don’t forget The Makeup Show NYC Career Fair is taking place on Monday 5/5/14 from 4-6pm! It’s an amazing opportunity to get your resume and portfolio in front of experts and decision makers at brands like MAKE UP FOR EVER, Temptu PRO, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Stila Cosmetics, Gorgeous Cosmetics, MAC Pro, Mehron, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty and Motives by Loren Ridigner. Visit themakeupshow.com for ticket info!
Also on Friday, May 2nd from 6pm – 9pm is the debut of The Makeup Show Gala, Colour Couture: Beauty and Beyond at Metropolitan Pavilion. You can get your tickets and more information here.
Mix and mingle with makeup peers and industry insiders in a fun affair of fashion, fancy dress, flare and panache. Party-goers will witness live model sculptures, think bright color, bold statements, theatricality, high fashion and haute couture all while sipping cocktails, noshing on bites, dancing, and biding on silent auction items. Attendees of The Makeup Show Gala will even be amongst the first in NYC to get a preview of “The Makeup Show’s Icon Gallery; Beauty and Soul” at the New York premiere gallery featuring a never before seen glimpse into Kevyn Aucoin’s personal and professional life.
