The Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida love exploring and supporting local businesses. Just recently Brittany (Clumps of Mascara), Su (Chronicle Stones), Nidia (Lit From Within) and I headed to Salt Room Millenia in Orlando, FL for a tour and complimentary salt therapy also known as halotherapy. Salt Room Millenia is Orlando’s only Himalayan Salt Therapy Respiratory Treatment Center. We were able to relax on cozy recliners in a room so perfectly lit it was absolutely serene. During the 45 minute session, microscopic pure salt crystals flow into the room gently so you’re breathing it in, letting it enter your lungs and sinuses. You also get a thin coat on your skin but it was nothing I visually noticed.
It was so relaxing I could have comfortably fallen asleep if I were not chatting it up and giggling with the girls. Before we left my lungs and sinuses had cleared a lot, I was breathing so much better already! It’s been years since I’ve been able to go an entire week without using my rescue inhaler. I have asthma, bronchitis, allergies and way too often get colds, ear infections, night coughs, sinusitis, throat infections and more. Well salt therapy can help with all of that plus more. Oh, did I mention it’s also good for the skin? It is!

For the salt therapy treatment, you can wear what you want and your hair and makeup will stay fabulous! My makeup did not budge! You can go by yourself, with your girlfriends or the Mr! Salt Room Millenia has a kids room for salt treatments so you can bring the kids too. It’s definitely worth a visit and the prices are very good. Salt Room Millenia also offers acupuncture, massage, skincare treatments and products for both internal and external health & beauty. I really had my eyes on the Mindful Minerals Sea Salt Scrub!
As a person who’s been through nebulizer treatments, medications and allergy shots, the Himalayan salt therapy at Salt Room Millenia was an extremely welcomed natural treatment. For more info or to book a session visit SaltRoomMillenia.com and for updates check out the Salt Room Millenia Facebook Page.
I’m so sad I missed out on this! I have chronic sinus and allergy issues, and this pretty much looks like a godsend. I heard there’s a similar salt room up in Cocoa, I’m going to have to check it out soon!
So glad you came, not only for your company, but it sounds like it was really therapeutic, too!
I loved seeing your face and relaxing with you!!
I would be willing to give it a try. I suffered through allergy shots, too – and they don’t work!
I think local businesses add a lot of value to the community. It’s great that this one adds so much and is so supported.
Interesting! I live 30 minutes from there and I’ve never even heard of it! Thanks for the introduction!
It sounds like a fabulous place! I actually do own a salt lamp too. 🙂
I have a salt lamp in my dining room and love it. Come to think of it… the bulb burned out and I need to replace it.
Ok this is something that I don’t know too much about but it looks interesting. I always love to try everything once so I would give this a try.
I have been thinking of getting a salt lamp. I think they’re intriguing.
I don’t know much about these, but they look interesting!
I used to have a salt lamp and I really loved it. I want to just crawl right into those photos- so peaceful and relaxing!
Gorgeous lightening. I would never leave this room.
I have heard about salt rooms but never got to tie them a try.
Salt lamps look like they would be relaxing to have around the house.
I would love to go there. I am always looking for natural alternatives and it looks so beautiful and relaxing.
Those look beautiful! I would love to try them in my home.
Oh wow this sounds amazing – I would love to go there myself, I bet its somewhere people could spend all day. x
Sounds great! I would love a day to relax like that!
This is something I would really be interesting in trying. I have really bad allergies and get sinus infections at least 3-4 times a year. I’ve tried everything over the counter but only recently started to get relief from using natural products.
I have heard of this type of therapy and would love to try it! There is so much to be said for massage, salt therapy etc. As women, we are always rushed taking care of others….sometimes we just need some time for ourselves.
We’re always running all over the place, but this seems amazing. I suffer from chronic illness/pain and would give my right arm to be able to try it.
