MinaSlater.com Is Live!

Hello my darlings, long time no write! The time has finally come and I am officially back with a new design, new direction and even a new domain name! As many of you know, I decided to make the move from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress…back where I started.

The old site, Princess-Mina.com

Please don’t misunderstand my move as an anti-Blogger outlook. I adore Blogger and think it is great. But with any service available, it all depends on the end user’s needs when determining what is best for them. I personally came to the point where WordPress suits my needs better at this time. More on this later in a separate post.

I love both Blogger & WordPress

Along with my switch over to WordPress came a new design of course and a new domain name. That’s right, I have moved from Princess-Mina.com to MinaSlater.com so please update your bookmarks darlings! I feel that the new domain and look seems a bit more sophisticated. Also for those who subscribe via feed readers, please update the feed to feeds.minaslater.com/minaslater so you don’t miss out! Oh and I mustn’t forget that I also changed my Twitter handle to @Mina_Slater!

My new Twitter handle @Mina_Slater

There are a few additional categories you may notice such as photography and technology (Geek Chic) and certain topics have been condensed into a general category. I am also now using Livefyre for comments instead of Intense Debate. There are still a few tweaks to make, sections to complete and additions coming so bare with me as the final touches are implemented over the next week. I hope you all like the new changes and continue your awesome support, regular updates will be soon to follow!

Love! Cant wait to see the photogrphy section. I like this Livefire thing but what made you leave intense debate? All it needs is emoticons like the old comments had. Anyway love the colors and the just the whole thing. Looks more serious, elegant but exciting.

Awe thanks Alisha! Every change I made was a tough decision because I loved every old & new service. I chose to switch to Livefyre because of the overall look & feel, ease of installation/use and integration with Twitter & Facebook. You can tag your Twitter & Facebook friends in comments here! @LishaLovely
