Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Collection Stolen

Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Collection Stolen

I am in shock at what I am about to type but…someone stole the Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 collection! Yes, seriously. The collection had 46 looks in it and someone managed to swipe the entire thing, all of it! The news came from the Telegraph, the collection was stolen while in transit. Most likely headed to buyers and fashion editors for press as they were samples.

[quoteicon author=”Marc Jacobs PR”]Dear all: The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.[/quoteicon]
Several, possibly all pieces from the Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 collection were swiped! Photo from

For the love of puppies and Christmas, someone please explain how someone makes off with an entire 46 piece Marc Jacobs collection! What in the world could this person have been thinking? What did they plan to do with it? You cannot wear it or sell it without highly unpleasant attention…the legal type! Aside from that, the person who snatched the collection should be wary of heaps of angry fashion editors! Yikes!

What??? So there won't be a spring line for sale or just won't be any pics in magazines? If there is no line at all that sucks!

@LishaLovely Lol crazy right? The thief must not watch Dora. Swiper, no swiping! I don't know darling, hopefully the stolen pieces were already in production, if not surely they still have the sketches, patterns & original textiles, etc. Just not sure they'd want to go ahead with the same designs being that they were stolen…possibly for knockoff purposes.

No way! I would think they have security escorting stuff! Lol. What was this person thinking? It's Marc Jacobs, you can't do anything with the clothes without getting caught!
