Mani Monday | Flower Nail Art Tutorial With Pink, Green & Glitter!

Flowers In The Field Nail Art - bright pink, green, glitter with flowers

Today was a beautiful Spring day in Florida so I did some fun, bright nail art. I really like the outcome so I decided to post a quick tutorial for you! I don’t think I’ve ever created a how-to post here on Fabulous Awesomeness, so bare with me ๐Ÿ˜‰ Now, I’m no nail art genius so this Mani Monday post is very easy and quick. Without further ado, here is the Flowers In The Field nail art tutorial.

Prep It…Get Those Nails Ready

Spread a thin layer of Elmer’s School Glue on your nails using a small, flat makeup brush (or paint brush). Don’t use your fave makeup brush though, you won’t want to use it on your face later! I use a concealer brush that came in a GlamBag last year. Once the glue dries, apply a base coat. I used Revlon ColorStay Base Coat 005. Both the glue and base coat dry fast so work quickly with this.

Paint It Pretty

Paint your accent nail sour apple green. I used Julep Mackenzie, a bright sour apple green I just got in my April maven box. Paint the rest of your nails bright pink. I used Julep Avery, a bright pink also from the April maven box (see my maven box here). After all of your nails have dried, apply a second coat if needed.

Sparkle It Up With Glitter

Apply a green glitter nail polish to the tips of all nails except your accent nail. I painted freehand but for a precise, neater line you can use scotch tape. The outcome should look similar to a french manicure…but colorful! ๐Ÿ™‚ I used Julep Lucky, a fun green glitter nail polish themed for St. Patrick’s Day.

Just Add Flowers

Add two flower nail art decals on your accent nail in a diagonal direction. You can also freehand flowers using the dotting method. I used nail art decals by Cina Nail Creations from Sally Beauty for $3.99. Finish up by applying a clear top coat. I used Revlon Colorstay Top Coat 010.
