Julep Maven It Girl box for March 2013 is part of The Playful Collection. It Girl is my default maven profile and it’s definitely my favorite of the entire Playful Collection. It features three nail polishes in fun, pastel shades in both creme and shimmer finishes. Here are swatches and details.

Julep Teri Review & Swatches
Teri is a perky coral that really has a fun spring feeling to it! If you’ve ever been on an island vacation or even here in Florida, Teri looks similar to the tropical, fruity drinks that are oh so popular…and pretty! It applies easily and I actually think this could be opaque enough with just one coat, instead of the two I used. This nail polish definitely requires a top coat if you want a glossy finish. Be sure to roll (or shake) this polish before applying because after opening it the first or second time, color separation might poke it’s ugly head out in the form of tiny peach/orange streaks. Teri is a color I also find to look fabulous on toes so if you pick this nail polish up, go ahead and try out a pedicure hot foot!
Julep Shenae Review & Swatches
Shenae, how I adore thee! I love this minty nail polish, it so screams beach vacation to me. Again, this one needs a top coat if you want a high shine look. As I put this nail polish on, I seriously had flashbacks of a Caribbean cruise I went on years ago. The gorgeous water of the beaches was breathtaking. Shenae and Teri actually look pretty flippin awesome together and reminds me of the fun colors of St Maarten. I hope to go on another cruise this year and this nail polish will be coming with me if I do! By the way, application was a piece of pie…cherry if I must choose a flavor! 😉
Julep Simone Review & Swatches
I messed up while applying Simone in a hurry before I lost the sunlight but I like it! It’s really pretty, a pastel lilac with just the right amount of shimmer that any age group could be happy with it. It’s definitely a great color for a subtle Easter mani. It wasn’t too runny or too thick, like I said I just messed it up a bit in a rush. Simone is also included in the Classic With A Twist box.
