The Julep Maven Bombshell September 2013 box includes face cleansing oil and two nail polishes I’m excited to wear this fall. I wanted both nail polishes but not the cleansing oil. Below are my swatches and thoughts.
Julep Maven Bombshell September 2103
- Karmen – Golden crimson microglitter
- Daria – Dark slate grey crème
- Bare Face Cleansing Oil
Julep Karmen Swatch
Karmen is such a pretty micro glitter! I love that the golden sparkles add extra warmth to the polish at a time when temperatures will soon be dropping. This polish will be great as a pick me up on a cloudy day without looking too summer-ish. I’ve worn it three times already and use only one coat but for these swatches I used 2 coats of Karmen plus a top coat.
Julep Daria Swatch
I was excited to try Daria, a nice grey color for fall. Though I don’t typically follow the seasonal beauty and fashion color “rules”, I do like to have a few darker tones in my nail polish stash. Daria is exactly what I wanted, not identical to any of the few grey nail polishes I have. I easily applied two thin coats which dried in less than five minutes which is rare in my experience with Julep polish.
Julep Bare Face Cleansing Oil
During box selection Bare Face Cleansing Oil didn’t interest me but I will review it soon. It’s also in the Boho Glam, Classic With A Twist and Modern Beauty boxes this month. I will try to share my review of Bare Face Cleansing Oil and Julep Blank Canvas Mattifying Face Primer in my Julep Modern Beauty post later on this week.
Which do you think is prettier: Karmen the micro glitter or Daria the fall slate grey?
