imPRESS Press-On Manicure | Working Girl

Okay so I’m no fan of acrylic or press-on nails at all! I love my natural nails and like to maintain their health. I haven’t had acrylic nails since I was a teen and when I do go to a nail salon I request a manicure on my own nails. I received imPress Press-on Manicure in my Holiday Voxbox 2011 courtesy of Influenster and was rather reluctant to try these but they looked cute and were free, so why not?!

imPress Press-on Manicure contains 24 nails in 12 sizes. I received my imPress nails in the pattern Working Girl.  I like the style and immediately thought it would be a cool nail look for New Year’s Eve or some other snazzy event. The directions are printed on the packaging and the steps to apply are a piece of cake pie! The container is shaped like a bottle of nail polish and the top twists off to allow the nail holder to open.

The nail polish shaped container opens, giving access to the 24 press-on nails inside.

I’ll be laying low this year and staying home to celebrate with family so I went ahead and applied the press-on nails to show you lovely darlings! Per the directions, I sized each press-on to match my nails and lined them up in order. Next I used the included prep pad to cleanse my nails. I then peeled the tabs and applied the press-on nails, 1 by 1 leaving my thumbs for last.

10 press-on nails lined up in order & ready to apply after cleansing with prep pad.

I was finished within just a few minutes and it was beyond easy. The press-on nails come in various sizes but my fingers are very small so they do not all fit properly, not that you can tell unless looking closely. They will fit my mom and there were enough left for her to use, so it’s cool to get 2 applications from 1 package. Personally I prefer my nails shorter but again, my fingers are small so the nails most likely appear longer than intended. The instructions state that imPress Press-On Manicure is easy to remove by gently peeling from the side or applying nail polish remover on the edges and peeling off after a minute. I hope it is that easy and more importantly does not cause any damage to my real nails!

As I mentioned, I love my natural nails so I wouldn’t use these regularly. However, I would use them when I need to glam up quickly for an event or to cover up traces of not tending to my nails on lazy days! Other styles I would like to try are Love Bites, Holla!, WinkWink, Payback, Over The Moon and Chic Mystique.

imPress Manicure retails for $5.99 for colors and $7.99 for patterns, and is available at CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, KMart, Walgreens, Walmart and more.
