Question of the week: What makeup rules do you ignore?
I generally ignore “rules” about color as far as what does or doesn’t go with my brown skin. If I see an eyeshadow, blush or lip shade I like, I grab it and make it work! I also sometimes wear a bold lip with bold eyes, it can totally work for an event or night out if done correctly. I feel it’s more about application technique and color theory!

Your turn! What makeup rules do you ignore?
I'm totally with you as far as ignoring color rules. I read somewhere that blue eyeshadow doesn't work with my skin color, but I wear it all the time now! And I wear bold eyes + bold lips quite often.
Damn it, I feel so boring now. I think I follow all the rules but I love to read about which ones to break so bring it on so that I can learn and be naughty 🙂
I don't bother with the what color matches my skin or is best for my eye color. There is always a way to make it work.
