Quick Happy Hair Day: Pantene, Blowout & French Braid #PanteneProtect

Quick Happy Hair Day with Pantene

Yup it’s still summer! On the worst days, like today which is cloudy and ridiculously humid, I like to keep my hair off my face but still wear it down. Keeping the frizzies away can be a battle but it is very possible. Using good products is a great starting point as well as figuring out what tools, techniques and styles work best for your hair. Today I did one of my easy go to styles.

Quick Happy Hair Day with Pantene

I have been a Pantene fan for most of my life. I’m a curly girl but the last few weeks I’ve been using Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner to aid my straight styles. Conditioner is a major key to keeping my hair happy. I usually buy 2-4 bottles at a time from Walmart because I use conditioner 3-4 days each week and shampoo once or twice weekly. Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek Conditioner is super creamy and has argan oil in it which is awesome because it helps battle dry, frizzy hair in this Florida heat for nearly 72 hours! I like the creamy conditioner because it seems better at coating each hair strand, making it easier to detangle and simply feels silkier. Today I co-washed, meaning I only used the conditioner.

To avoid double duty heat I avoided the flat iron today. When I know I’ll only be using a blow dryer I use a large round brush to give some curve and life to my hair, usually at the ends. Of course I added a quarter sized amount of argan oil to my hair before starting…I have thick hair. I used high speed on medium heat and finished with a cool blast.

Must have hair tools

I like putting a french braid at the edges of my face to keep my hair out of the way. I have bangs and usually braid just that portion and pin it in place at the end. This time I decided to section a bit of my longer hair to make a full braid. I teased my bangs a bit first to add some volume and then braided 75% down and sealed it with a rubber band.

Excuse the lighting but it’s a cloudy day and if I try to use Photoshop my brain would probably melt! Left: My freshly finished hair before leaving the house. Right: Outside the store after running errands in this horrific humidity. A bit of a change but not bad!

I wear my hair like this a few times a month because it’s so easy to do and keeps my hair off my face. Condition, blow dry, braid…the end! Do you have a go to easy hairdo? What’s your favorite Pantene conditioner? Tell me in the comments below!

It did keep your hair looking good. I have very short hair and don’t use blow dryer or iron.
