It’s been one busy summer and my beauty routine has taken a bit of a hit! While flying state to state, road tripping all over Florida and attending numerous events I’ve done the bare minimum for my hair, nails and skin. While I have a brief moment of downtime I need to get back on track so I stopped by Sally Beauty a few days ago to stock up on a few things. The timing was perfect since they’re having a Fall Color Sale Under $10. Everyday prices and sales like this is why Sally Beauty fits perfectly into my budget and lifestyle. I can get the products I love for great prices and those extra savings always go toward my upcoming trips…like Aruba!
My skin hasn’t suffered too badly because I tried my best to maintain my regimen using my primary travel skincare kits. My hair is a different story and the main reason for my trip to Sally Beauty. After 8 billion beach days, using random items from the drugstore travel bin and tossing my hair into a messy bun nearly every day this summer, my hair needs extra love! My hair doesn’t take kindly to excessive products and gets weighed down easily so after washing my hair, I try to use no more than two light but effective products for styling. I typically go for a leave-in conditioner and light oil or moisturizer. One of my favorites I always restock is Silk Elements Pure Oils Argan Oil. This product is a triple threat you guys, it’s perfect for hair, nail and skin revival and it’s under $10! The oil is rich enough to soften and moisturize hair yet gentle enough to use on my skin and nails without feeling greasy. I like to mix a few drops with my favorite moisturizer and also use it for my cuticles. For my hair I massage it onto my scalp, gently spread throughout my hair and then style with my fingers. It doesn’t weigh my hair down and I only need to use a small amount so the bottle lasts a few months. I used some on Sunday and this morning and my hair already feels super soft, just how I like it.
I also needed a new Tropical Shine nail file to fine tune my shamefully neglected nails and picked up a new polish. When it comes to nail polish I choose colors not just based on season or trend but also by inspiration and mood. I haven’t purchased a new color in months so I wanted to find something that reminded me of the vibrant colors of Aruba. I used to have a ridiculously large stash of nail color, I’m talking nearly 1 thousand little bottles of rainbow dreams. This year I have limited myself to maintain no more than 75 bottles of nail polish at a time so I’m quite choosy with selection. The moment Nina Ultra Pro nail lacquer in Caribbean Blue was in my line of vision, there was no doubt this would make it into my stash. Caribbean Blue is perfect for my currently Aruba obsessed beauty brain.
On the way out I decided to pick up a Palladio Liquid Eyeliner in Midnight since I ran out of my navy blue liner over a month ago and noticed it on sale. There are actually a lot of awesome items in the Hues of Blue color story and tons of other products you can shop online. Plus you can always check out the Sally Beauty Instagram for plenty of beauty inspiration!
