Hello darlings! Let me start off by saying I am a major pizza lover. Morning, noon or night it is highly likely you will find me eating pizza! Needless to say I was ecstatic when Freshcetta reached out to me to try the new FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™ pizza. Of course I accepted their generous offer, I mean say no to free pizza? Seriously? What kind of cuckoo lady do you think I am? Within a few days I received a coupon for one free Simply Inspired pizza and a bamboo cutting board. Freschetta was also generous enough to send an additional free coupon and cutting board for me to give to one of my lucky readers! How awesome is that?! I’ll get to that in a moment, but first let’s go over my thoughts and a few facts about Freschetta Simply Inspired pizza.
As soon a I got the offer I browsed to freschettasimplyinspired.com to learn more about it since I’d never tried anything from Freschetta before. There are quite a few options but I was most interested in the Simply Inspired pizzas since that was what I was getting. I saw that there are 8 flavors to choose from. Harvest Supreme, Classic Bruschetta, Hawaiian Style, Chicken Bianco, Farmers Market Veggie, Rustic Pepperoni Pomodoro, Southern BBQ Recipe Chicken and Tuscan Farmhouse. The free coupon was easily redeemed at my local Publix supermarket and to my surprise they only had three flavors left to choose from. I actually saw this as a good sign that the pizza must be pretty popular since it was practically sold out. I ended up choosing the Hawaiian Style pizza because I wanted to give an honest review and the toughest pizza flavor to win my thumbs up is Hawaiian…I am a tough critic!

The packaging is quite different. There is no cardboard box fight with and no clear plastic wrap choking the pizza. Instead it has what is called the Fresch-Taste Seal packaging to lock in the flavor and it uses 30% less packing materials which is impressive…imagine how many trees were saved by avoiding the use of cardboard! It has a tab you simply pull to open the packaging and remove the pizza and not one topping fell off the pizza. What I also love about the packaging was the “window” on the packaging where you could clearly see the pizza. The expiration date is also clearly placed on the front of the package. The pizza is beyond easy to prepare, with clear instructions and just 3 steps involved. The Hawaiian Style pizza has bacon, Canadian bacon, pineapple, sweet BBQ sauce and mozerrella cheese. I usually stick with pepperoni pizza because when it comes to frozen pizza the toppings usually taste rather artificial and bland. Biting into this pizza was a shock for me. Each ingredient was so distinct and and fresh tasting…especially the pineapples which seemed as if they were fresh cut right then and there. There was just the right amount of cheese and I even liked the Canadian bacon which I usually pick off and put to the side. Also, I typically do not like thin crust pizza but the toppings, sauce and fresh taste of the pizza won me over. It even won over my brother who has never liked Hawaiian pizza. We both agreed that it tasted just as good as going to a local pizza shop! Freschetta Simply Inspired definitely gained new fans and thankfully we just discovered a frozen pizza we will actually enjoy!.jpg)

Oh my goodness, I could LIVE off pizza, it is my absolute favorite food! Because you can put so many different things on it, it never gets boring. If I win, I would like to try the Rustic Pepperoni Pomodoro. And how's that cutting board working out for you, it looks pretty sweet, what with the storage space for utensils, that's pretty clever!
