I must admit I sometimes run late and I’ve discovered that it’s stylish to be Fashionably Late. Literally! Rakani has created a range of watches that are stunning, unique and chic timepieces. The designs are not typical by far, they are eye catching and are sure to spark conversation!

Rakani was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur and designer Chirayu Patel. It all began in 2012 when he gifted his girlfriend a watch for her birthday and she joking asked if it was meant to keep her from always being late! That wasn’t the case but it lead Chirayu to realize that watch designs typically have no meaning behind them today. Chirayu decided to change that and create designs that have significance beyond the products themselves, designs with a visionary story behind them.

[quoteicon author=”Rakani”]Whether you’re really stuck in traffic or not, Rakani has personified the notion into a stylish timepiece. The design utilizes Swarovski crystals to represent cars stuck in traffic, while the hour bars from 4 to 8 o’clock symbolize evening rush hour. No matter what your reason for being late is, with this elegant timepiece you’ll always arrive fashionably late. [/quoteicon]

I was drawn to Stuck In Traffic because the premise and design spoke to me. It is nearly impossible to go anywhere in Orlando without getting Stuck In Traffic, especially during rush hour on I-4 or any of our numerous main roads. Since I’m often running behind, I might as well arrive fashionably late rocking a piece of chic arm candy with a bit of bling. Just my style! Stuck In Traffic  is available in quite a few options such as face size, steel bands and leather band colors. Because of my person style as well as small wrists, I chose the leather wrist band. It is always easier for me to go that route because I can easily adjust the band to fit me. The leather band is double padded so it’s pretty comfortable and durable. My watch has everyone talking…and drooling for one of their own! πŸ™‚

As if wearing a head turning watch isn’t enough, my watch arrived perfectly situated in this lovely black travel box. Open it up and discover storage space for the watch and other jewelry such as rings. I found that the ring holder is removable and reveals even more space for jewelry storage!

In a addition to Stuck In Traffic, the collection includes Ish, +5, What Time?, Right Around The Corner and Running Behind. Keep in mind that each watch in the Fashionably Late collection has a meaning behind the its design. The meaning behind Stuck In Traffic had just as much to do with my choosing it as the sleek design did. So be sure to read up on each timepiece while browsing these gorgeous timepieces on the Rakani website.

I hear you on the traffic, in LA it's horrid. Although this watch is gorgeous, I just cringe when I read the company's description of the line. I'm so strict with myself about be early to everything and being late is my biggest pet peeve πŸ˜›
