I recently had the opportunity to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear line and I figured it was great timing. New foundation for my birthday, why not?! I wasn’t too worried about quality because Estee Lauder is a name I’ve seen and heard for years in tv ads, magazines, commercials and from my Nana! My only concern was shade matching! Still, I was excited for this new venture.
Since I’d never worn their foundation I headed to my Estee Lauder counter in Macy’s at The Florida Mall to get a customized iMatch consultation. Estella, my awesome Estee Lauder Beauty Expert, asked me a few questions about my routine and coverage I wanted and quickly knew what would be best for me. Estella matched me with Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup and my shade is Intensity 4.5! I decided to also grab the matching Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer in shade 4 Medium Deep.
Estella was totally right about Double Wear Light being the right choice for me! It’s very lightweight with great coverage that is build-able without becoming a cake face and it dries to a matte finish. I love that I can quickly apply a nearly sheer layer just to even out the skin without looking or feeling like I’m wearing makeup. Living in Florida it’s important for me to feel light and fresh without having to worry about the heat.
I spent the rest of the day running all over the place shopping and prepping for some promo work for something huge that just happened for my career! When I finally got home 11 hours later and looked in the mirror my makeup was still in place. I’m pretty impressed with the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation and I think it’ll be great for summer. Did I mention I was sick? Mhmm, in the photos I am just 80% recovered from Miami Swamp Flu. Or just the flu but I caught it when I went to Miami so that’s what I named it! Anyway, I think the foundation hid my last bit of sicky poo face pretty well!!! What do you think?
