Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Put To The Test

Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion And Night Cream

I’m rather picky when it comes to skin care. I want cleanser that truly cleanses and a moisturizer that actually provides deep, long lasting moisture. Every product claims to do that these days but not all live up to what they says. Boots No. 7 and Influenster have given me that chance to see if the Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin line lives up to their claims. Here we go…

Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin

I was provided with the two-step system which includes Boots No. 7 Cleansing Lotion and Night Cream. Both skincare products are hypo-allergenic meaning it contains little to no ingredients that are potentially irritating, thus reducing the possibility of allergic reactions. I get quite a few questions regarding hypo-allergenic, so for the record hypo-allergenic does not mean you will not have an allergic reaction, it means it is less likely. Remember, everyone has different skin and allergies. I received the normal/dry skin versions which is cool because I have combination skin that changes with the seasons. My oily spots seem to steal the spotlight in warmer months while dry patches come to play in cool weather. If you have oily skin, there are also oily skin products in the Beautiful Skin line.

Anywho, Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion has no noticeable fragrance and it really looks and feels like lotion. From past experiences with lotion type cleansers, I’m typically not a fan. Of course I gave it a chance and my usual cotton round test. I spread a bit on my face with a finger and using a cotton round, wiped it away. I was happy to realize that my skin felt clean. I got distracted and forgot to apply moisturizer until about thirty minutes later, but my skin didn’t feel tight or dried out so that was a plus. Of course I recommend applying moisturizer but it’s nice to know my face won’t turn into a flake fest if I don’t instantly moisturize. Boots No. 7 Cleansing lotion claims to handle makeup so I put that to the test as well. Yup, it totally removed my makeup!

Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream also has no noticeable fragrance which is a plus for me. I pretty much already expected to like this because I’m quite a Boots No. 7 fan. Before using this (or any night cream) make sure to have cleaned your skin and wash your hands. I apply this all over my face and neck before bed and I wake up with soft, dewy skin. You don’t have to use much, just a smidgen. It will absorb quickly and then you can go off to dreamland! This worked like a dream for me at first but for the last week, as the temperatures have gotten cooler, my dry patches are screaming for more moisture. So I think Boots No. 7 Night Cream is more suitable for me during normal Florida weather and I may need something stronger during our “winter” season. There is also a dry/very dry version of this night cream by Boots No. 7 so I may check that out! However if you don’t have uber dry skin (or patches like me) that gets increasingly angry during winter then this may work for you all year long!
