Beam N Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light Review Plus Giveaway

Beam & Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light

One would assume this is simply a tool useful for reading. True and false. This beauty and fashion blogger found other uses for it. I was able to try the Beam N Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light as a Fashionista Events blogger. It has 6 LED’s, two clip on filters, a magnifier attachment and a neck strap which makes the unit hands free.

Of course it’s great for a bit of reading at night. With all the technology we have today, I still find myself attached to a good old fashion book, the real thing, not a download. Especially before bed. The Beam N Read is perfect for enjoying that book you can’t put down, without disturbing your partner.

The Beam N Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light has six lights with the option to use just three of them. This is great because the 3 lights is plenty and also saves battery time.

The red clip on filter changes the light to a sort of night vision, this is best to use if you’re around someone that is sensitive to light and gets the “I can’t sleep grumpies”.

The orange clip on filter changes the light from cool (daytime like) to warm (incandescent). If you find that you strain your eyes while trying to read in brighter light, this filter is totally for you! I’m prone to migraines and this light with the orange filter is like my new best friend.

As a fashionista, I find that the light is also helpful when putting together looks. Under typical houshold lighting, it can be touch to see the difference between navy blue and black. Fabric swatches of many colors look off so sewing can be a nightmare under the wrong light. The magnifier comes in great handy when I’m making jewelry, working with all of those tiny pieces. Also, beauty swatches! Check out my mishap when swatching nail polish when the sun was setting and then again under the Beam N Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light.

Nail Swatch With Bad Lighting (Sunset)
Tried swatching my nail polish but the sunset won the battle of light 🙁 So not true to color with a orange like tone, fail!

My nail polish swatch test days later when I got my Beam N Read LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light. Much more true to color.

I love that this light has so many uses!! For me, I would probably use it while camping for many different things, and definitely for reading in bed at night while everyone else sleeps 🙂 If it were my sister she would probably use this for putting on makeup in the morning before work when everyone is sleeping

My crafting area is tiny and very poorly lit.  This would be very useful even in the daytime, as this area is also in the basement.  It would be great to use when my husband is sleeping; I wouldn't have to turn on the ceiling lights.  I can think of many other practical uses for a light like this.

My dad would actually love this. He buys a ton of light related things.

I have trouble seeing clasps and needle and thread up close and I think the Beam and Read would help a lot.
