Influenster sent me a complimentary jar of Aveeno® Positively RADIANT® Intensive Night Cream. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now so I’m reviewing it slightly earlier than I would most skin care items. I also received a sleep mask which I really liked but I’m not sure if it comes with the product or Influenster decided to include it themselves. Aveeno Active Naturals Intensive Night Cream claims to improve:
- Brown Spots
[quoteicon author=”Aveeno”]Intensive Night Cream is shown to give you an extra boost on all 5 Factors of Radiance – tone, texture, dullness, blotchiness and brown spots. This hydrating night cream contains a proven concentration of Active Naturals Total Soy Complex boosted with tone-evening vitamin B3 to help keep you looking fresh and luminous.[/quoteicon]
Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream, My View
Aveeno products always seem to be hit or miss for me and Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream seems to be hanging somewhere in the middle from my perspective. I don’t hate it nor do I love it. The packaging is nice, however the box is a bit of a space waster. What is pretty cool is the back of the box has a display that shows the actual size of the container, so consumers aren’t completely fooled by the box size. Kudos on that! I like the actual container quite a bit. The product comes in a nicely durable 1.7oz jar with a twist lid.
When I opened the container I noticed a familiar scent but couldn’t quite put a finger on what it was. That irks me! 😉 It’s a very mild scent that gave me no sinus, headache or respiratory issues. 2 thumbs up there! The Intensive Night Cream has a wonderfully smooth, creamy texture. I did an allergy test on my skin and had no issues, another plus! So here’s the thing, after 3 weeks of use I’ve noticed no significant difference. I realize it takes 4-6 weeks for many skin care items to make changes. But with minor factors, I expect to notice something in the first week or so. Minor factors being at least a small positive change in texture or dullness. I certainly don’t expect to take a step back on the well being of my skin.
Perhaps I didn’t notice anything positive because I was already on a nightly skin regimen I was extremely satisfied with. I think this would be good for someone who doesn’t already have a great skin care routine and possibly those with oily skin since this is oil-free. My skin already gets massive help with tone and glows beautifully using my OFRA Cosmetics Vitamin C Cleanser
. I also feel I need a bit more moisture for my dry spots at night than Positively Radiant provides. I have combo skin and it was nice for my t-zone but not for my cheeks. The first day or so seemed okay but afterwards my face felt dry and tight more each week, back to the point of light flaking. I was really hoping this would be a good alternative for me money wise but I feel I get more punch from my Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Night Cream
. So for the love of my skin, I’m ending this trial early and going back to my regularly scheduled programming. 😉
Have you tried Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream and had better results than I did? Please feel free to share in the comments below! It didn’t work for me but it might work wonders for many! Others may be helped by your experience so do tell! 🙂
