You may have noticed I haven’t traveled as much this summer as I have in the past. Well that is because I have some upcoming fall and winter travel planned because of events. First up being my friend’s wedding in Aruba in two weeks. Yes, two weeks and I still have much to prepare for my trip!
I still need to shop! No surprise there right? I live in Orlando, FL so you’d think I wouldn’t need clothes for Aruba. Due to events my usual style is more dressed up than I want to be in Aruba. When I go to Aruba I want to still look awesome but effortless and comfy at the same time. Maxi dresses, swimsuits, sundresses and flip flops. I always wear bikinis so I want to mix things up with a one-piece swimsuit or two. Luckily I already have my dress for the ceremony.
I booked my airfare months ago and made my itinerary but I haven’t done my usual travel prep. I have to load my travel documents holder with my passport, travel cards and important documents. I like to use prepaid cards specifically for travel. I input important info like flight, shuttle and resort details on my phone as well as the closest US Embassy or Consulate, emergency numbers and more. I then write that info down in case something happens to my phone during travel.
I have to prepare my health and wellness bags. So refill prescriptions, stock up on band-aids and other first aid essentials and more. I always take immune support tabs before flights, etc to give me an extra boost to fight off cooties. I hate orange flavor but these aren’t horrible and they dissolve into a bottle of water so I just chug it fast and get it over with! Unfortunately 2 days of my vacation will most likely be hijacked by being born a female. Period wine in Aruba won’t be fun but I’ll have a few U by Kotex Security and U by Kotex CleanWear Ultra Thin Pads with 3D Capture Core plus Xpress DRI to help keep my pretty vacation clothes clean. You can grab free samples here, that’s actually how I first tried U by Kotex. Gotta love samples!
While I love being spontaneous I also love having a plan. Though I’ll wing parts of my trip and obviously relax on the beach, there are things I’ll definitely want to experience. So I still need to explore things to do in Aruba and possibly book some excursions ahead of time. I know I’d like to go to the Aruba Aloe Factory and Arikok National Park to explore the caves. I won’t be able to do everything with the wedding activities spread throughout the weekend but I’ll definitely figure out how to squeeze a few things in!
See, I’m almost ready for Aruba! Maybe. Not.
Sounds like a perfect trip! I also like to do some excursions while I’m on vacation. Love the bikini. 🙂
