A Social Goodies Experience | NYX Haul

A Social Goodies Experience | NYX Haul

I love shopping, I love giving back and I love trying out services! Thanks to the fabulous darlings at SocialGoodies.com I got to do all three at once! Social Goodies in simple terms is a daily deal site offering vouchers to shop at many cool retailer websites at a fraction of the price. The best part is that 20% of your Social Goodies purchase goes to charity!

[quoteicon author=”Social Goodies”]Social Goodies combines the great savings of a daily deal site with the amazing power of charitable donations. We offer fantastic deals at up to 70% off retail then donate 20% of the gross purchase price to the charity of your choice. You shop on the retailer’s website with a voucher that you purchase, so you always have control over what you get to buy. Safe and secure with 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Good Deeds. Good Deals.[/quoteicon]

I have been wanting to dive dip into the lipstick world and give it another chance, as I’ve been anti-lipstick for so long. It’s just never been my thing…I’m more of eyes kind of gal! Anywho, Social Goodies has a NYX Cosmetics deal every so often, usually for $50 worth of products for $25 or similar. With perfect timing, I got to shop at NYXcosmetics.com!

Before I get into listing what I selected in my NYX Haul, let me tell you the story of my purchase. I received a NYX voucher from Social Goodies and immediately headed to NYX to shop. Selected my items and everything was running smoothly. Upon checkout, I entered my Social Goodies voucher info in the promo code box per Social Goodie’s instructions. The thing is, the voucher was supposed to bring my order total to $0, which it did, however NYX still required me to enter payment information. Whatevs, I entered and moved forward. Oops! Apparently I entered a wrong digit for my card’s expiration date. So I was bounced back to the payment screen, I re-entered the info and…”The discount code xxxxxx has used it’s max number of uses”. Umm, say what?!

I emailed Social Goodies back to let them know what was happening and within moments received a response letting me know they would be contacting NYX on my behalf to help straighten the issue out right away. Shortly after, I was contacted by a NYX representative who let me know the system error had been fixed and re-issued a discount code for me. Though the error was fixed, I entered my info very carefully this time around, triple checking for mistakes! Fortunately everything went through without a hitch and my order was confirmed. Also that same day, Social Goodies followed up with me again to make sure everything worked out and that I was all set.

I really appreciate the hands on approach that Social Goodies has. From start to finish, they really took care of me and were sincerely concerned and helpful when I had an issue. Many companies are quick to give the “Well ma’am that is “ABC Company’s” error so you’ll have to contact them” malarkey. Social Goodies did not do that, they took the initiative upon themselves to work with NYX to rectify the situation and make sure I was satisfied. Customer service is a key factor in what makes me return to a company and become a loyal customer and Social Goodies has that perfected!

Now, on to the shopping! Here is what I got from my NYX haul via Social Goodies:

NYX Haul via Social Goodies

NYX Round Lipstick in Doll, Frappucino, Topaz, Eros and Pumpkin Pie.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo and London.

NYX Mosaic Powder blush in Love.

NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Bonfire and Buttery Nude

NYX Highlight & Contour Powder

I really like the Highlight & Contour Powder and I chose Mosaic Powder Blush in Love because I heard it is a close match in color for Nars Taj Mahal plus I needed a peachy/orange blush as I only have pinks. I will have swatches up of the lip products posted soon! In the meantime, be sure to check out SocialGoodies.com and follow them on Twitter @socialgoodiesco
