Radiant Orchid Spring Beauty Look Tutorial | #Walgreens Beauty

Radiant Orchid Spring Beauty Look Tutorial | #Walgreens Beauty

Spring will be approaching and with that comes the need for a fresh beauty routine! Soft, fun colors and easy to use products are on my radar. There are some great new products out that are perfect to pull together a Spring beauty look and Walgreens beauty deals has us covered in that department! I’ve created a quick and easy radiant orchid Spring beauty look tutorial. Check it out…

Radiant Orchid Spring Beauty LookI often like to go with a fresh, minimal makeup look and easy, no fuss hair styles with my busy lifestyle. I love to be able to wash and go but frizzy hair can totally ruin that. So let’s start out by scrunching a generous amount of L’Oreal Curve It Curl Taming Cream onto the hair while damp. You can blow dry but I prefer air drying.

L’Oreal Curve It Curl Taming CreamFor the face, gently dab a bit of L’Oreal Miracle Blur Instant Eye Smoother onto the under eye area. This stuff gives an instant boost to help smooth out wrinkles and reduce the appearance of under eye poofies. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I apply this after cleanser, serum and moisturizer…basically the last skin care step.

L'Oreal Miracle Blur Eye CreamAs I mentioned lately I’ve been on a minimal makeup kick so I don’t apply full makeup, just enough to make certain features pop. I’m an eyes and lips kind of gal! If you do want coverage, maybe try a bit of BB cream or DD cream. I’m going bare faced! I lightly swept a bronze shimmery eye shadow across my lids, blended upward with a matte flesh tone shadow and finished by highlighting the brow bone. Next I applied a fun purple gel eye liner.

I love L’Oreal Butterfly Mascara. The wand is awesome for creating winged out lashes and it didn’t clump! Yay!

L'Oreal Butterfly MascaraThe final step is adding some color to those lips! I used L’Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in 403 Purple Prelude (this is not the color shown below). It’s such a gorgeous color that glides out on providing a long lasting, shiny lip. I thought this color was perfect for a hint of radiant orchid, the color of the year!

L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip StainAll of these products were easily found at my local Walgreens beauty section and I got savings on everything. I love the makeup deals at Walgreens and I always make sure to swipe my Balance Rewards card to earn points for even more savings!

I love that curl taming cream. I get keratin treatments for my curls now, but I should tell my sister about it. She could use it to get the frizz under control!

    • February 4, 2014 / 11:49 PM

I used to do at home keratin treatments but I got lazy about it & might just go to the salon at some point. Lol. I live in Florida so I need all the help I can get with the frizzies!

Right?! I’m loving this mascara and the wand is so unique. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so excited to go back to Walgreens because I’m so close to getting my next reward, just a few more points to go!

Looks like I need to go beauty shopping at Walgreens. By the way, I adore that pretty pink lipstick!

    • February 4, 2014 / 11:56 PM

You will love the beauty deals at Walgreens and there’s so many new products to choose from. I actually grabbed the last lip stain in that color! The others were very pretty but this one was a must have!

Your look beautiful but still so natural. You picked perfect beauty-enhancing products.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:00 AM

Thank you so much Liz! I’ve been so tired & run down lately so this type of look gives me a boost without looking overdone.

  8. February 3, 2014 / 4:41 PM

The miracle blur sounds awesome and it looks really good on you, too! I’d love to give that a try.. I’ve been on the lookout for a replacement for mine as it’s running out.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:03 AM

The Miracle Blur is awesome, it’s worth a try!

I don’t wear much makeup at all anymore but that miracle blur sounds like it would help my under eye area. I wonder if they have anything for the eye lid.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:06 AM

I really like the Miracle Blur eye cream. The packaging says the eye area so perhaps it works on the lids too. I think I’ll tweet the brand and ask…I’m curious now!

  10. February 3, 2014 / 6:12 PM

I don’t wear makeup at all but I know a few people who’d enjoy this!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:08 AM

Just like my cousin, she doesn’t wear makeup either. She’s really into creams, serums and other skin care beauty items though!

Your hair looks great… as does your makeup. I love no muss no fuss hair styles that you can just fluff and go.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:09 AM

Thank you! Yes, the quicker I can do my hair, the better!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:11 AM

Me too, loving the winged lashes look.

  13. February 3, 2014 / 7:42 PM

Those look like great products. I love mascara and that looks worth trying.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:12 AM

I think I’m obsessed with the mascara brush!

  14. February 3, 2014 / 7:55 PM

Gosh it seems like forever since I was at your blog and you have completely reminded me why I love it here – fantastic review just really wish we had Walgreens here now! x

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:14 AM

Oh my gosh, thank you so much Sarah! You’re the sweetest! Oh no, you have no Walgreens? I guess there’s always Walgreens.com lol. Mine is within walking distance though so I don’t really have to shop the online store.

That looks like the perfect package to start of Spring or just to pamper yourself a bit. I am getting ready to move and will miss Walgreens as they are not in our new location, ours has become so much like family as we are in there so much.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:16 AM

Awe, I definitely understand that you’ll miss having the Walgreens store in town. Maybe you could still shop online. At least that way you’d still get the savings.

Loreal makes great products. I haven’t used them in forever though since I don’t wear makeup any longer. I have a Walgreens close by but don’t go there as much as I would like. Now it’s time for me to stop by and pick up a few things and of course use my card for those points. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:19 AM

You should definitely stop by your Walgreens when you get a chance. They had a lot of good deals also on hair care, skin care & personal care items too. I love the beauty department!

Loreal is one of my favorite brands. I haven’t tried the curl taming cream, but it really has my interest. I have naturally curly hair that I have never had much success taming!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:17 AM

I love L’Oreal and the curl taming cream has been my best friend lately since I’ve been too busy to do anything really fancy with my hair!

Loreal makes great products. I will have to look into the ones you have featured here

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:22 AM

Yes check them out! There was also a coral looking lip stain that looked so pretty. I need to go back and get it since I like the purple L’Oreal lip color I bought.

  19. February 3, 2014 / 10:12 PM

Wow, seem like a good product from Loreal – they are definitely one of the best brands that I know – will never fail you!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:22 AM

Yes, they’re high up on my love it list! ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. February 3, 2014 / 11:08 PM

I also enjoy donning a minimal makeup look. Thanks for these great pointers.

Great list of products. I like that these are items that are easily accessible. You don’t have to go to a SPECIFIC mall to a SPECIFIC store and HOPE the prices are okay ๐Ÿ™‚

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:25 AM

Exactly! They are easy to find, affordable and the deals are great. Malls are so crowded these days, I like the easier, quick trip!

    February 4, 2014 / 9:54 AM

Great pointers! I like that all the products are readily available and not big priced products you have to get from certain places

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:27 AM

Yes! Who has time these days to go out of the way to track things down at specialty stores? I certainly don’t! Lol. Plus I like how affordable drugstore beauty items are…my bank account is happy!

I should change up something this spring.. I usually lighten my hair but I’ve found a color that really works with me and I really want to see what it looks like when my face is tanned! silly? probably… but I should get a new shampoo or something!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:37 AM

That’s totally not silly! Lol. I actually think it’s smart to see how it works out with a tan before changing it & regretting that you did. Trying something new for spring like shampoo or styling product would be a nice & easy change.

  24. February 4, 2014 / 1:08 PM

You shared some good tips and ideas. I need to spend a little more time pampering myself.

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:38 AM

Thank you! Yes, give yourself a little more “me” time! It’s important & well deserved!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:40 AM

I really love it too and I shouldn’t be so surprised since I love pretty much everything I’ve tried by them!

  26. February 4, 2014 / 4:03 PM

I’d like to try that curling cream for sure…and I’m on the hunt for a new mascara, as well. Thanks for this post!

    • February 5, 2014 / 12:41 AM

Definitely try the curl taming cream…it also smells really good! I don’t think I mentioned that. Lol. And I really like the Butterly Mascara, put it on your list ๐Ÿ™‚

I need that Miracle Blur right about now. My eyes look terrible these days! I’ve always had dark circles, but between migraines and not sleeping enough, they’re awful right now.

    • February 4, 2014 / 11:43 PM

Oh my gosh, that’s exactly what I’m going through…sleepless nights and migraines. Miracle Blur has helped me out a lot and it should last a good amount of time because you only need a small dot under each eye.

I really like it! I’m even going back to Walgreens to get another for my mother to have.

  32. February 5, 2014 / 12:02 AM

No Walgreens? Here in Orlando there’s one like every 2 blocks so I guess I’m just used to seeing their stores everywhere.

  33. February 10, 2014 / 4:53 PM

Ooh, loved hearing about the L’oreal eye smoother! I haven’t tried it and definitely need some help in this area since, like you, I don’t wear much makeup! Definitely going to check it out – thanks for the tip!
