Julep Maven April 2013 Boho Glam
- Kaylen – Neon orange creme
- Lena – Teal with gold shimmer
- Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum
Julep Kaylen Swatch
Kaylen is definitely a bright orange, neon as described by Julep. The formula is not too runny and the polish dries rather quickly to a semi matte finish. With that said, you’ll want to apply a top coat if you want a glossy finish. One coat was a bit sheer so I used two to make it nice and opaque. Ironic that I live in Florida and hate oranges…but I love orange nail polish like nobody’s business!
Julep Lena Swatch
Lena is a beautiful teal nail polish with gold shimmer. It is hard to capture on camera but in real life it is quite striking. This is one of Julep’s top nail polishes as far as formula, wear and application. I applied just one layer of Lena, no mess, no top coat needed. Chipping was also no issue however I change nail polish every few days so I have to keep my mouth shut regarding long wear. This one is almost a fave for me. Lena comes in a close second to Zuza by Zoya Nail Polish, which is my favorite color to date.
A bit of uber quick, rushed nail art using Kaylen and Lena…the colors are just so fun and gorge that I couldn’t help myself.
Julep Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum
4 out of the 5 Julep Maven profiles received Julep Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum in their April boxes. You can read my review of this in my Julep Maven April 2013 Modern Beauty Review post. Mina’s Got Questions: Would you wear either of these colors? Which nail polish do you like better, Kaylen or Lena?
