Del Sol Color-Changing Nail Polish | Pretty In Pink

When I was a super cool teen, I was so into mood rings and would stalk them with my eyes, waiting for them to change colors. I’d even try to change my mood on cue to change the color. Now that I’m an uber cool adult, I have to admit that I still think items that change colors right before my eyes are exciting. The latest fabulous awesomeness to enter my life is Del Sol Color-Changing Nail Polish!

I received this nail polish last weekend at the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida meetup. Del Sol was one of our sponsors and I got Pretty In Pink. The nail polish bottle shows you the color the polish will change to on the front and the brush cap. In the bottle and on the nails indoors, it appears pearlescent. Depending on natural light peeking through the windows you can see slight pink hues from certain angles.

The brush cap shows you what shade your polish will be.

Step outside and as the sun kisses your nails, the polish transitions through several shades of pink until it fully deepens to a gorgeous french rose shade that is literally Pretty In Pink! I actually yelled out like a kid “Wow, it’s m-aaa-gic!!!”. Don’t judge me, it was flippin cool!

The nail polish glided on easily for me and I used two coats of Pretty In Pink on top of a clear base coat and no top coat. The brush is pretty standard, which I like. I know some prefer wide brushes but I have no huge gripes with standard brushes as I have rather small, child-like fingers. I also feel smaller brushes give me more control over where the polish goes and I make less of a mess.

Pretty In Pink begins to change back to the original color when you leave the sunlight.
