I did not expect this until Monday but yesterday I received my April Julep Maven Box. I would have shared this yesterday but I was uber busy with a bit of website maintenance all week. For April I almost switched to another selection but I did not want foot cream so I stuck with my original Julep Maven It Girl box. As you know, Easter is around the corner, next Sunday actually. The inside of my box was decorated to look like an Easter basket with green crinkle cute shredded paper and those little solid chocolate Easter eggs in color foil wrap. I thought that was cute!
The contents of the Julep Maven It Girl – April 2012 box are:
- Jessica – Baby blue, pastel creme
- Niecy – Bright pink, close to rose (deep not pastel)
- Jodie – Penelope – Blush, pale pink
- Bonus: 2 pedicure toe separators (spacers)
Retail Julep total: $42 , Price via Julep Maven Program: $19.99 (I do not know the price of the pedicure toe separators)
I like each of the colors in my Julep Maven It Girl box this month since they are colors I do not already have from any nail polish brand. I am really into blue lately and Jessica is a nice touch of pastel for Spring. Jessica is also a pre-order nail polish which will begin shipping on April 1st so I am glad to get it a bit early. I am happy that Niecy is a bright pink but not over the top hot, florescent pink! Penelope seems like a great shade for subtle, sophisticated nails or french tips. The toe separators are a nice touch for at home pedicures and I’m sure I will use them often! So far the Julep Maven It Girl profile has suited me and I’ve only switched to another box once. Julep Maven is a monthly subscription program in which you receive new Sneak Peek Box of Julep products. Each month you’ll receive an email letting you know your box is ready and a preview of what it includes. You’ll then have until the 25th of the month to request a different box, send your box to a friend or skip the month for no charge. If you want the box chosen for you, you’ll be charged $19.99 and the box will be shipped to you.
Julep Maven often gives the opportunity to try the first box at a deep discount, sometimes just 1 cent! I think the program is worth enrolling in simply because you can try it out cheap, there is no obligation to buy since you skip months without being charged and if you do purchase you get over $40 worth of Julep products for $19.99 which is a good saving. Of course everyone has their own preferences so check out Julep.com and decide for yourself.
